We are delighted to announce that HALO trustee, Colonel Jane Davis OBE QVRM TD DL, has been appointed Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London.
Jane has been a member of HALO鈥檚 medical group for over 25 years, visiting HALO programmes at least once a year and using her extensive knowledge and experience from her career in both the NHS and Army Reserves to set appropriate medical standards for HALO and develop medical training programmes for our minefield paramedics.
In 2014, Jane became a trustee of HALO, continuing the incredible long-standing support she has given to the charity. As Vice Lord-Lieutenant, an appointment approved by the Queen, Jane will support the work of the Lord-Lieutenant as a personal representative of the monarch as well as acting as a bridge-builder, connecting individuals and organisations across London to increase social cohesion within the capital.
Everyone at HALO would like to congratulate Jane on her appointment to Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London.
鈥淛ane has been a dedicated volunteer for HALO for over 25 years and has been instrumental in developing the medical cover we provide for all our staff. Her appointment as Vice-Lord Lieutenant for Greater London is thoroughly deserved and we are extremely proud that she is such an important member of the HALO family.鈥 James Cowan, CEO, 国产视频
"We are delighted to hear that Jane Davis has been appointed to the position of Vice Lord-Lieutenant. Jane has spent 26 years as part of the HALO Medical Board being down-to-earth, good humoured and practical, in bringing all aspects of her wide experience to the issues of conflict area medicine. We are sure that she will bring these same qualities to this new post. She already has many responsibilities apart from her hospital work and her input to HALO, we wonder where she finds the time to fit it all in, but as they say, if you want something done, ask the busy people! Well done, Jane, we can鈥檛 think of anyone who more deserves this more." Dr. Paul Ransom, Head of HALO's Medical Group
